From stone to the sun: GP JOULE currently builds a huge solar project on the site of a gravel pit. It is Germany’s biggest solar construction site. The impressive solar park in Ganzlin, Ludwigslust-Parchim district, will generate an output of 65 MW following a construction period of only eight months. This is enough to supply around 16,500 households with CO2-free electricity.
The focus is not only on building new housing but also on creating an island that will support a nature reserve of more than 3 hectares, including a reed landscape and a mussel bed.

Large materials and valuable value are often used in the construction of these types of sustainable wind farms. Kooi was present during the construction of the wind farm to secure the construction site. This was done to prevent the theft of valuable building materials and to keep unwanted visitors off the site. Without putting anyone at risk, we analysed the situation remotely with our camera security systems connected 24/7 to our PAC-certified Kooi Alarm Center.
