Alberto’s journey begins with an intensive round of introductions. “I am eager to meet our existing customers and will try to get in contact with some prospects,” he says. “Of course, I will present myself and convince them of our 24/7 reliable solution. And it makes sense that there’s an Italian point of contact.”
Originally from Monza, Alberto has always had a passion for new cultures and people. He earned his bachelor's degree in International Business and then pursued an Erasmus course in Lisbon. To further enhance his English skills, Alberto continued his career in Dublin. “I just like to meet new cultures and people,” he explains. “So I also studied International Business and Marketing at the University of Groningen.”
Alberto began his career with the Hilti Group, a specialist in tools, software, and services, followed by a stint at Bosch. “They’re both strong in the construction sector,” Alberto acknowledges. However, it was Kooi that truly captured his interest. “You are good guys, and that’s important for me. There’s a healthy work environment, people work closely together, and there’s less hierarchy.”
Now, as Alberto heads to Bari, he is clear on the message he wants to convey. “With the UFO, we offer a top-tier product to ensure every project site is secured 24/7. Nevertheless, time and timing will play a crucial role in the coming months. Alberto: “Similar to Spain it takes time to build mutual trust in Italy. But I take comfort in the Italian saying ‘A goccia a goccia si scava la pietra.’ It means 'Drop by drop the stone is dug out.' So I am confident we will succeed in Italy. The most important is to keep customers happy. And when they are happy, they will spread the word.”
