Theft, vandalism and fire have always been a problem. Kooi offers strong preventive means to combat these risks: UFO, RED and the Kooi Alarm Center. But what makes Kooi's method so effective? In this blog, we will tell you more about our range of solutions and the underpinning cooperation.
Kooi's widely-deployable security cameras are called UFOs (Units For Observation). They are rented out to monitor, for example, building sites, wind and/or solar parks, car parks and vacant properties. They utilise infrared technology that provides a crystal-clear image both during the day and at night. Kooi offers a security solution suitable for practically every type of site.
Each UFO can be connected to a fixed power supply. If you do not have one on your site, Kooi can rent you a Solar (Power) Box: a sustainable source of power ideal for virtually any place.
An excessive build-up of heat is a common cause of fire in the waste sector. Investing in preventive means to prevent such fire damage is therefore a sensible precaution. Kooi’s RED provides an advanced solution to detect heat formation.
The RED (Rising Early Detection) unit is a thermal-imaging camera that continuously monitors the temperature of waste piles. If an abnormal temperature rise is detected, an alarm is sent to the Kooi Alarm Center allowing prompt intervention to prevent any serious damage. The RED unit has a 360-degree field of vision and is available in a fixed or mobile version.
In order for both the UFO and the RED to perform optimally, one must, of course, respond to the alarms triggered. We have the PAC-certified Kooi Alarm Center precisely for this very purpose. Every UFO and RED is connected to the Kooi Alarm Center via a fast internet connection.
Kooi works with a team of experienced and knowledgeable emergency control room operators, who know exactly how to act in emergencies. Each customer may specify the times when a camera or RED should be on. This can be up to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
With RED, an alarm protocol, which is pre-agreed with the customer, is initiated. For example, one of our control room operators may alert the (company) fire service/brigade if an abnormal temperature rise is detected. In this way, one can respond quickly to prevent any potential fire.
Has a UFO detected a break-in or vandalism? Then the control room operator will first try to scare the intruder(s) away by sounding a siren or speaking through a loudspeaker. This is effective in 99% of the cases. In addition, the Kooi Alarm Center is in direct contact with security companies and emergency services. An immediate response can be initiated if necessary.
Kooi's security solutions can be deployed flexibly and our Kooi Alarm Center can respond if necessary. It’s a well-oiled machine. What’s more, the deployment of security is always performed at Kooi's expense. All in all, Kooi offers a cost-efficient security service to all its customers.
