The processing of our daily wastes comes with a high risk of fires. Kooi developed the Rising Early Detection (RED) system for the waste and recycling industry. Equipped with smart thermometric cameras, RED monitores 24 hours a day waste and recycling sites and detects heat build-ups. This prevents fire. The RED Concrete is suitable for outdoor and indoor use.

Advanced 360-degree thermic camera

The RED Concrete is equipped with a 360-degree thermic camera that is able to rotate and tilt to observe a larger area. The advanced analysis software of the RED monitors the temperature continuously. An alarm notification is sent to the Kooi Alarm Center, whenever a suspicious rise in temperature is detected. The alarm is examined by our centralists real-time, in order to prevent an outbreak of a fire. During a real threat, the alarm is verified by our specialists that will activate the alarm protocol.

Early detection with Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Kooi invented advanced software with Artificial Intelligence (AI). This way the RED Concrete can be active 24/7 because the alarm isn’t triggered by vehicles. Even during working hours, your premise is protected. We make sure that the system functions properly by monitoring the RED Concrete continuously from remote. Moreover, we work with two internet providers, to ensure a solid internet connection.  

Direct alarm follow-up by our own emergency room

The Kooi Alarm Center (KAC) is CCV-PAC, EN50518 and ISO27001 certified. Our centralists are specialised in analyzing and handling camera alarms from the RED Concrete. The KAC is always manned by educated operators that monitor the incoming alarms. If a real threat occurs, the alarm is verified in order to activate the agreed protocol. The KAC centralists keep an eye on the technical performance of the devices. We ensure the operation of the systems and notify you of any development so that you won’t have to worry about security.

Live access to the footage at selected times

Our fire prevention system is connected to the Kooi Alarm Center. Therefore, you can always count on our expertise. When an emergency occurs, we solve the threat remotely. You get a personal login to the RED portal where you can watch the live footage whenever you want.

The RED Customer Portal also gives you access to the incident reports that are drawn up in response to an alarm message. Besides, you can view additional information, like the real-time temperature, the temperature timeline and the area that’s currently detected.
